Sorry man, that really sucks. I lost one to cancer a number of years ago. It's such a horrible disease

It was really fast. She had a clean bill of health just a few months ago.

Damn, I’m sorry to hear that. I lost mine almost a year ago to cancer. Same thing. 3 mile walk Saturday, ER Sunday, gone 7 days later. New pup sends her condolences, as well. Good luck, it doesn't get easier for a while, but it will, eventually.

Oh buddy...my sincere sympathies to you. :(
Beautiful pupper...he is off in a better place and not suffering now. :)

Damn I’m sorry man, that just really sucks. I lost my dog to cancer a few months ago, it won’t seem like it but it gets easier after a while, the grief still hits me like a brick occasionally and it’s best just to think about the good times.

I’m so sorry to hear this. They really are family members that bring out the best in us.

I’m really sorry to hear that mate.
As if our time with them isn't too short already, cancer makes it shorter.

Sorry to hear that. We’ve had a lot of animals over the years, and I still think fondly of them all. Some more so after their passing, than when they were still with us , but that’s another story.

She was my fourth dog, the third I had to put down because of health issues. I wish they could all stay healthy forever.

Sorry for your loss. He was a good looking pup.
I appreciate t he kind words. I know it gets easier with time. The hardest part is watching my kids go through it. She was my son’s best friend and he misses her terribly.

Very sorry for your loss, it’s really hard losing a family member. My daughter was carrying on about how much she loves her new puppy yesterday, and trying to convince me to get a dog again. Big nope, can’t deal when they pass (Kelly died a long time ago, but I still think about my best friend daily ) .

Godspeed, pupper.

Rescuing two puppies scheduled for “review” when I had to put my dog down made it a lot easier to get by day to day. It ga ve his death some meaning that allowed me to rationalize a bit of it even if I wanted him back more than anything.
I’m sorry for your loss and even more so for your son’s, trauma early on in life is difficult to manage.

The only kind of solace I can find in these sorts of situations is knowing that you gave them the best life they could ask for: a home and a family. That was a great thing that you did.
Best wishes to you and your family in your time of sorrow. I know it will take a while

Thank you. We got a new pup a little over a year ago, partly so that the older dogs could teach him how to protect the house, partly in anticipation of losing one or both of the older dogs. We didn’t expect it to happen so soon.

I’m sorry, we lost our older Frenchie to an infection after he had beaten cancer. It was pretty awful after we did so well getting him back to feeling good and acting happy again.

I lament your loss; loosing a dog is not easy, specially if it belonged essentially to the entire family. I hope everyone is holding up okay

That’s the worst! I’m sorry to hear that happened to your family.

I lost my last dog to a weird giant puss bubble that appeared on his back one day. We had to put him down because although t he vet said they might’ve been able to save him with an expensive surgery, there was a chance it wouldn’t work and even if it did, he would likely not have a good quality of life afterwards. Now I’m currently in a position where I can’t get another dog, which is sad because I feel like a home just isn’t complete without a dog. But as they say, it’s better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all...
